Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in New York

My credit card comapny has been turned over my account to an attorney for collections. I have received a summons and contacted the attorney. They have given me 3 options, none of which i can afford as my husband is currently unemployed. I advised them of that and she informed me that legal action will continue. What can I expect from them?

You mentioned a summons, was their a complaint attached?

If so, you must answer it or you will be in default and they will get a judgment.

The judgment will permit them to freeze you bank account and lien your property.
