Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in New York

My credit card company, Chase, recently closed my credit card account due to inactivity. This was done without warning and I was notified by mail several days after it took effect. I called and requested they reopen the account but they said they could not. They said they could do this without warning because it stated in their credit card policy that I had to use the card within 24 months to keep it open.

My question is, with the new laws in effect, can they still close this card due to inactivity in 24 months without first giving advanced notice?

Jeff

Maybe. It depends on the language in your agreement with Chase bank.
