Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in New York

credit card company suing

If a credit card co. is going to serve me a summons or anyone else for that matter in my state, mustn't they hand the summons to me personally for it to be legal and binding??

No. The plaw permits substituted service or delivery and mail service.
