old credit card debt that was resolved, now being dunned after 11 years.

this issue had been paid off and resolved. now, being dunned again by different collection agency for old bill. what is best way to handle this for now and all time? thank you.

send proof of payment and a letter warning them to stop dunning you...the letter should be certified mail return receipt requested. unfortunately, you cannot stop this from happening unless you send the same proof and letter to the creditor...if they continue to dun you, you can sue them...
