Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in New York

Credit Debt Summons

I know I have to answer my summons so I don't get a Judgement, but I don't know how to answer one, do I use a legal form of some sort and go to the court house and file it? How do you answer a summons?

Short of retaining an attorney, I would go to the clerk for the Court listed on the summons and request help to serve and file the answer.
