Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in New York

credit issue

This is a little complicated I have been out of work for a year-I got a payment package from my company for 3 months then got unemployment from feb-july After july I had to stop paying my bills I am trying to get a grant to pay them off but I am having problems-my question is if I get a job can these cards garnish my wages ?

Only if the creditor brings a lawsuit and obtains a judgment. Then, only one creditor at a time can have 10% of your gross pay taken to satisfy the judgment.
