Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in New York

Credit judgment

I was served with a summons and complaint for a 6 year old credit debt that is not on my credit report. I called the collection agency and asked if they could send proof of this debt. They said that was impossible and talked me into agreeing to a payment plan. The man I spoke to said they would be sending me a bill and statement. I never received any bill or statement from them. The next thing I received was a notice from my bank saying my account was frozen. A judgment was won. I tried to have it vacated but that didn't work. I don't know what to do at this point other than talk to the agency that sued me. I don't want a judgment on my credit report for a debt that isn't even on my credit report. If I have any options available to me I would greatly appreciate any advice that can be given. Thank you, thank you.

Re: Credit judgment

Why did your attempt to have the judgment vacated "not work"? What did you say was the reason for your request to have the judgment vacated? Where is the court? How much was in your account? How much was the judgment? When was the judgment entered? Did you send MONEY to the collection agency? Who is the collection agency? Who is the firm that got the judgment against you (the lawyers). Put in some useful info and I will try to help...
