Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in New York

Can I use my credit report to prove I don't owe creditor

The creditor/debt amount that the collection lawyer is trying to collect from me is not on my credit report and--name removed--do believe that the debt is not valid (it has not been proven to me). Court date is already set. --name removed--stated in my answer that--name removed--believe a violation of Title III Fair Debt Collections Act has occured. Should--name removed--show the judge my credit report to support my defense? Can showing my credit report damage my defense in another way, and how?

Also...

The collection agency has never provided me with validation although--name removed--have asked for it. How much time will the judge give me to review it since--name removed--will not get it until--name removed--ask for it in court? What is the procedure to getting an adjournment to review validation of debt since collection agency has never provided it to me? Or can that null/void the case?

Thank you for any help that you can offer

Re: Can I use my credit report to prove I don't owe creditor

This action is the medium by which the debt will be established or found not owed by you. The credit report is without relevance.

I think you need some help on this case.
