debt collector takes everything

A debt collection agency put a hold on my bank account that i share with my boyfriend.The only money that was in there was a direct deposit pay check of my boy friends and they want to take every penny this was the only money we have to support two children.Can we fight this and are they allowed to take every thing from you?

You need to go to court and this canbe overturned if you can prove that the monies were his and your name was there only as an accommodation to you.
