Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in New York
In debt because of stupid mistake
a few months ago i loaned a friend money. it is not almost half a year later, and he still owes me money. We had an agreement that when he told his car he would give me my money. However, he has not made any attempt to sell his car. He already gave me back part of the money that he owes me, but refuses to give me any more. Is there anything that i can do about this?? most of the money that i gave to him was put on to a credit card, so there is a record of it.

Re: In debt because of stupid mistake
If the deadbeat owes you $5,000 or less, you can take him to small claims court, and there does not seem to be any good reason not to do so.
