I Want My Deposit Back

A person agreed to purchase a vehicle from my husband. He gave my husband a deposit and received a receipt not specifying whether the deposit was refundable or not. A week later he returns and say he does not want the car. Am I required to give him his deposit back?

You should give the deposit back unless it is specified on the receipt that the deposit was non-refundable.
