Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in New York

Extra Computer sent in the mail

I bought a computer and received it in mail. However a second one arrived with it. I called the company twice (Dell) left a message but got no answer. I proceeded to leave the boxed computer in the basement. Then allowed my father to use it. What are the rules/laws. Naturally now after one year some collection agency has been calling not Dell.

my qualified answer is you won't have to pay since you did not order the item (used to be a scam...sned something and try to collect for it). You may have to defend yourself if you are sued...let's se if any other attorney weighs in with their opinions. There is fact dispute about notice and possible return of the goods...
