Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in New York

Frozen Accounts

I will try to make this as short as possible:

-This debt is more than 12 years old

-No money has been paid on the account in that duration of time

-The third party collector and I went to court several years ago, when they bought a judgement at which point it was dismissed because they never showed up in the end.

- I have another court date in two weeks, can I get my accounts unfrozen so I could pay my bills?

Re: Frozen Accounts

There is something missing from your question -- the TYPE of debt this is and WHEN the judgment was entered. Without this information, I cannot give you any advice. If you provide further details, I will try to point you in the right direction. You can contact me via email.

But since you say your accounts are frozen that means there IS a judgment because the only way a bank account can be frozen is after a judgment is entered. I think you need to speak directly with Jason. HOw much money is involved? YOu need fast competent legal assistance...
