What is the maximum percentage allowed to be garnished from your paycheck?

10% of your Gross salary or other remuneration (pay). If you have one garnishment proceeding you cannot have another at the same time. If you are paying child support, that is not considered a garnishment. You can be forced to pay support and be garnished at the same time for something else...but in no event can you lose more than 25% of your gross salary. So, for example, if you were paying out 20% of your gross salary in child support, all the garnishment could get is 5% more...20% plus 5% equals 25%...
