Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in New York

my husband and I have not officially received a foreclosure notice or eviction date yet. Can we try to sell it now on our own before we receive anything? We have not paid our mortgage since September 2011.

Yes, if your price covers the mortgage debt or you get the lenders consent for less.
