Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in New York

judgement satisified

Last year, around this time a law firm who took over a debt from a creditor enter a judgement on me and froze my bank account. I argeed to pay the money they ask for and make payments of $100 dollars a month. According to the documents i recieved from the creditor i satisfied my debt.But, according to the law firm I still owe over a thousand dollars. what can i do about this?? they claim i must pay for the judgement and interset!!!

If the creditor released you, then the law firm must release you as well.

Mail a copy of the release to the law firm and ask them to seek the interest and their fees from the creditor. After all, your part in this is done.

You can also get a court order for the release. My fee for that would be 300 dollars.
