Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in New York
Judgement Vacated
I had my bank account frozen and eventually the judgement was vacated by the judge. The funds that were in my account, along with the fees the bank charged are gone. Can I sue the attorney who had the judgement placed on my account because he said that I was served and it was found out that the attorney made a false claim. What's New York City stance on a counterclaim.

Re: Judgement Vacated
You should go back to the Judge who vacated the judgment and amend the order to direct the attorney who took the funds to reutrn them(if this is recent you may find the funds in the City Marshal's office you should find out which Marshal (or sheriff) was used and see if the funds are still being held...or get the attorney to pay them back or sue the attorney in small claims court.
