Judgements

My boyfriend just got his credit report and found a judgement on it for National Fuel. Do we pay national fuel to make this judgement go away? They told us last spring that he didn't owe them anything. We need help here...thanks..

Re: Judgments

1- there can be no judgment without a law suit

2- either he disregarded the papers or there was bad service.

3. notice of the judgment should have been provided to you.

So....go to the court and ask for help to vacate the judgment by Order to Show Cause based upon improper service if you did not get served.

You will get a court date. After the service of your order to show cause, call the company and ask for proof of non-payment of their bill. If it is not paid, pay it and have the judgment vacated.

After the Order to Show casue is filed, call the reporting company and advise them that this matter in now in litigation and remove it.

Good Luck
