Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in New York

Judgements

I cosigned for my Husbands truck and we voluntarily returned it in because we could not afford it. This left a bal of 14,500 due. We dont have money to pay and now theres a judgement against me. My husband has a very small music company that is incorporated so they cant track his accounts so they blocked my account and have been asking my student loan bank about me. I recently relocated to a different state so they dont have my new address or phone numbers. I am willing to call but I dont have all the money. we cant pay but maybe $200 per mo. I don't know the rules of judgements as to what they can and cannot do. Do I need a lawyer or should I just call them? What are my options? I sincerely had no control over what payments my husband would pay, because I became a house wife. Once again we are at the place where we can do something, but not a bulk sum. This is what they kept requesting of me when I lived in the previous state (NY). It was absolutly impossible. Can you help me with these questions? Thanks
