Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in New York

judgements

I had a judgement against me and accounts frozen in Nov2006 they account was cleared nov 21 2006 and on friday march 9th my bank put a freeze on my account for the judgement in nov which was cleared in Nov

Now they are charging me for this mistake and charging me for bounced checkes because of someone elses mistake

What can I do

Bank of America is saying it was the lawters office and the lawyers office is saying it is bank of america

meanwhile I am caught in the middle with everyone lying to me and it costing me money

Is there anything I can do

?

The judgement was dated 11/8/06

Cleared 11/21/06 Can the bank place on hold on an account 030907 when the judgement was dated 110806

Don't they have a time period that it has to be done by

who made the mistake? I don't think the bank would re-restrain your account on their own...usually its because they received something from the attorneys office. If the matter was resolved in November, why would the attorneys reissue a restraint? Did you get something in writing that the matter was resolved in November? Maybe there is still something owed? Usually, when you pay off a judgment you get a satisfaction of judgment from the lawyers for the judgment creditor. Did you? Answer these questions and you should find out who made the error. It is possible you are in error about the settlement...
