Re: lein on personal checking account

Most likely there was a judgment filed against you. A judgment is the result when one party commences an action in a court of law and wins. The court of law recognizes the win and renders its decision in a judgment.

I suggest that you contact the company and request a copy of the judgment. You may also find out about where the judgment was obtained by obtaining a free copy of your credit report from Dunn & Bradstreet. You can also contact your bank since they must have received a restraining notice from the attorney.

When you get information about the judgment, you may have the option of vacating the judgment if you do not owe the money, or you may contact the attorney to make arrangments for payment.

Mike.
