Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in New York
i lent 2000 to my grandmother she already has 4months with my money and she has no intentions to pay me back we didn't sign a paper but i have a message she saying She's aware of her owing me money but i just need to wait i can't wait any longer because this is my money for college help

1. Send a written demand for payment. You should be sending the demand by certified mail.
2. If she does not pay you pursuant to the written demand, you may commence a small claims action against her for the return of the money.
