i was in a long distance relationship with a guy, and i bought a laptop for him for cheaper and frequent communciation purposes, now the relationship is over, can i ask back for the laptop?

You may ask for the computer back. However, based on your question, it seems the computer was a gift. If your intent was to gift a computer to this individual, you do not have a legal right to the return of the computer.
