Re: mother wants name off of credit cards

If your mother's name was on the credit cards as the primary user and you were also on the accounts with her permission and authorization as a secondary user, then you would not need to seek her permission or authorization for the charges which you improvidently may have made(and the affidavit which you've mentioned would be meaningless). Unfortunately, however, your mother would still be responsible for these charges as the primary account holder and she should be seeking some means of settling these presumably delinquent accounts before further damage may occur to her credit rating. (This should include her requests to the card issuers that your name be removed from the accounts as an authorized secondary user and that no further charges be permitted by you on these accounts.)
