First, don't take legal advice from the nursing home. You might not be liable for any of your mother's debts. Take the form/contract you signed to a lawyer. Second, before the nursing home can place a lien on any of your property, it must first sue you, and win a judgment.
Some of your assets may be subject to liens, including bank accounts (normal savings and checking accounts) and real estate.
I would strongly recommend you start with a local contract/consumer lawyer. The lawyer can determine if you should take the nursing home's threats seriously. Moreover, some of your assets may be excluded from liens.
