I am owed money

I loaned a friend about $4,000. He now changed his phone number, and I can't get the money back. Is there anyway for me to receive the money I am owed?

Yes...Sue him. I assume you know where he lives or used to live...you can sue him at his last known adress. If he defends you will hve to prove the money was loaned and not gifted. Do you have anything in writing as to the loan terms? When was he supposed to pay the money back? Sue him and get a judgment.
