cant pay credit card debt

my mother has alzheimers and is going to a nursing home what happens to her credit card debt she has no assets

Write to the companies and explain.

They may still move forward and get a judgment against your Mother. But since she doesn't have anyhting it's worthless.

You are not responsible for her debts.
