Perpetual care at cemetery
I have recently found the grave of my father. The cemetery says that before I can put a maker of some kind on the grave I wiil need to pay for 52 yrs of perpetual care. The grave was deeded to my mother who has passed and who never paid for the care. Now that I know where it is am I responsible to pay for the 52 yrs. of care?

Re: Perpetual care at cemetery
There was an original contract signed before or after the passing of your father. That contract will indicate what is and is not owed.
However, even if the contract says 52 years must be paid, they are businessmen and a negotiated settlement for a nominal amount for the back money owed can be arranged.
Start by getting the contract. Then you can meet with me for a consultation for no fee and i can assist you. The 30 minutes will be free.
