Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in New York

I have to go to pre-trial over credit card debt. I have answered the summons with the help of a bankruptcy lawyer I retained, yet, they cannot help/advise me with this State trial/level situation. I do not know how to represent myself at pre-trial against a law firm. Any advice? Thank you in advance

A debt collection lawsuit is a serious matter. You may be faced with a judgment if the matter is not settled or resolved in your favor. The ramifications of a judgment could be an income execution (garnishment) or a bank account restraint.
