Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in New York

I am a real estate appraiser. i am 1099 i have worked for a mortgage company for over 7 months now. i have a signed contract with them stating i get paid on the 20th of each month. per loan officier i am told the appraisals were paid for by the homeowners prior to me inspecting the homes. the loan officier gets her money every month for her commission. i have not gotten paid on a regular basis from day one . but recently i am owed august , sept and part of october pay from this company total of 7,300.00. the company tells me and other appraiser that are working for them due to cash flow problems they don't know if or when they can pay me. they have since took there appraisal business to a managing company that now orders the appraisals for them and the appraisers take a loss of 100.00 per appraisal and that is how they pay this managing agency. the company is still closing loans . i need to know if and how i can collect this money thanks tracey

You would have to sue the company for the money. It is a breach of contract.
