Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in New York

I received a call from the legal department at ez cash pay day loans. when i asked them what loan was in question they refused to give me any information. Are they allowed to do that?

You left out important information - do you have a loan with ex cash pay day loan?

If you do, go to the location where you obtained the loan to inquire about the call. You are right not to trust a caller simply because she/he says they are with the legal department. It is possible the caller was a scammer.

If you don't have a loan with the pay day loan, tell the caller you don't have a loan with the company and never call again.
