Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in New York

Restraint on Bank Account

This just happened late yesterday. I do owe this, I am not saying I do not. I googled the attorneys that are handling this & they are posted all over the internet saying how shady & lawsuits against them. I am scared to deal w/ them & see that almost all the posts on them say to NOT call, but deal w/ them by mail. Also, That account is my account but my husband DD his paycheck there. He doesn't have one. So the $$ they froze is actually his, I only work pt (1-3 hrs per wk) ... what is the best thing for me to do?

Re: Restraint on Bank Account

Depending on how/if you were served and other facts related to your case you may be able to vacate the judgment and unfreeze the money or you may be able to work out a settlement with the creditor for less than the judgment and unfreeze the money. More details are required to make a determination. An attorney can most likely help you or you can try to do this on your own. Please call if you would like to discuss.
