Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in New York

Changes in SOL for Default Money Judgement 10K

On November 9, 1990 a default judgement was entered in the State of NY for $5771 against me. I have been researching the SOL and came up with conflicting answers cardreport.com states the SOL in NY is 10yrs and the NY State Statutes 211(b)web page states the SOL is 20yrs. See ref below.

My question is:

1. Did the SOL for default money judgements in NY State change since 11/9/1990? Is so were there any grandfathering provisions?

2. What is the current SOL for default money judgements?

Thank you.

Gene.

A judgment is valid and enforeable for 20 years. other debts and obligations have other statutory lifetimes.
