Statue of Limitation for crediet card in NY

Lenght of time legally you can be suied or judgemeny againt for a credit card in 1998 & 1999 in NY State ? also is it time of last activity ot time cardf was opened? Thanks

PS website for statue of limitation on anything to look up on internet Also if a judgement is against you in NY for failure to appear but I was not notified of this action or served pappers for it but now have been served in NC can this be vacated in NC court where I have got summons for court for foreign judgement ?

The statute is 6 years from when you last paid, or when you breached the agreement or when the card was charged off..or one or two other times. Also, the judgment must be attacked in NY where it originated...not where it is being enforced.
