Statue of limitations on a judgement

Is the statue of limitations in New York for filing a judgement 6 months from the day you made the last payment? If yes what steps can you take on getting a judgement dismissed due to this fact?

The SOL in NY for "starting an action" for payment of a bad debt is 6 YEARS from the last pymt (or when pymt was due)as long as you did not acknowledge the debt in writing or make a partial pymt during that 6 year period.
