Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in New York

Statute of limitations on credit card debt in NY

What exactly is the statute of limitations on credit card debt in NY?

I am specifically looking for credible internet citations. Preferably ones whose content is written by law professionals in lay terms.

A link to the actual statute, even though it is most likely not written in lay terms, would be terrific as well.

Thank you.

No one will do legal research for you. But the statute is 6 years from the breach, charge off, last payment, or one or two other dates, whichever daye is last and most favorable to the creditor.

Good Luck
