Statute of limitations for debt collection

What is the statute of limitations in NYS for collection of a credit card debt? Everything I have read states 6 years. Is this the current information?

In NY, it is 6 yrs fr when the last payment was made as long as there has not been a writing by you acknowledging the debt or any partial pymts made. If you pay/acknowledge, you start the 6 yr clock again from then.

Yes, the statute of limitations is six years. It's not always easy to figure out when the clock begins to run and when it stops, but the time period, if it is governed by New York law, is six years.
