Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in New York

Student Loans

My wife took out these loans for her kids before I married her. If something should happen to her, how can I not be legally responsible for paying them back? They are not my kids or my loans

If you are no on board as an obligor/guarantor/co-signor, you are not on board.
