summons

i got a summons in my door the next day i got two of same exact summons in the mail are they legal

Yes, if they can't serve you personally after "due diligence" (usually interpreted to mean at least 2 attempt on different days at different times), they can serve by so called "Nail & Mail" service where one set is affixed to the door of the place you live and another set is mailed to you.

You need to review the paper work carefully and follow the notices regarding your time to answer.

You should consult an attorney ASAP for specific legal advise regarding your situation (and this Q & A board is not a substitute for that). There are important deadlines that you don't want to let run out.
