Was this summons legal?
I was served a summons today for an old debt of $500. It was taped to the outside door of my apartment complex for everyone to see. Not my door. Is this legal?

Well, this is typically known as "nail & mail" service. Did the summons read "personal and confidential"? As for the debt, there is a 6 year statute of limitations, but I would need more details regarding the substance of this matter.
