vacated judgement

hi please help.i found out3 weeks ago in 1995 a default judgement from a cellular company was filed against me.i went to the court and filled papers out and the judge vacted the judgement because i was not served and other reasons.he set a new date for trial.this debt is now just over 7 years old can they still sue what is the statue for this how many years?what can i say at this trial can i ask the judge to dismiss because its past the statue what is the statue? p.s. excellent website thank you

Since a new trial has been ordered there is no question of starting the action again. If service of process was defective the court should dismiss the action. Good luck.
