Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in New York

what to do

last year i worked for toyota. everytime i sold a car i got a percentage and the company put the money in a conmpany account. 7 months later, they fired me for looking for another job and they never gave me my money, roughly $25,000. i have a court date in 2 weeks. does he i need lawyer or can i defend myself? this money is rightfully mine and i want to assure that i get it.
