Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York
i actually have 2 questions, my brother is on parole and he was living with his girlfriend. when his PO did a search they found several things that was not suppose to be in the home and he was violated, if she claims the items were hers could he get this dismissed? also, i have power of attorney, do i need anything else to go pick up his things?

He can be violated if he is in any area where there are things that he's not supposed to be around. It doesn't matter who actually has ownership of these things, a parolee has to stay away from illegalities of all kinds. As far as the power of attorney, that all depends on if it is a general power of attorney and where you are picking his things up from.
