Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York
160.55 sealing confusion
if my certificate of disposition says nothing about conditional discharge, does it mean it is sealed right after i pay all fines?
if it says conditional discharge, does it mean it can be sealed only AFTER 1 year?
if on the disposition paper, it says 'sealed after conviction', does it mean it is in fact SEALED even a year hasn't passed?

Your records are sealed immediately and as a matter of law. Your lawyer should also ask that the court seal it's own file.
Good luck.
