Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York

i had 3 veh vandalized about 20,000 in damages. out of pocket expense $3500. the girl was caught. the probation officer called and told me a juv is only responsible up to $1500 . how do i get compensated for the rest and will i ever see and money back
