Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York
Hello, I am a 17 year old boy, a few months ago I was caught smoking marijuana in a car and went to court for a UPM, I never pled guilty because the Judge said I could not get federal funding for college if i did that.Four Weeks later i was caught with a pipe on me,there was another upm. Now befor i could stay there my dad told the court i was in a bad enviroment and took me to VA. I am supposed to go to court in january cause the case is still pending.I would like to know what my options are, my dad is and has always been very paranoid,he says the court can put me in a residental home most likely or worse put me in juvie. I am not a criminal I do not lie cheat or steal,i am just a kid who smokes pot and has been in the wrong lace at the wrong time.

You are in criminal court not family court so I don't see what juvie has to do with things. The cases can be resolved in a way that won't leave you with a record and maybe even both dismissed. What County are the cases in? I am a former federal and State prosecutor and handle criminal defense. I m$ay even be able to tale care of the cases without your coming back to NYC. Feel free to check out my web site and contact me.
Time to stop smoking. Any lawyer can get this case resolved with no criminal conviction but make sure you show up to court.
