Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York
My 17 year old daughter was served court appearance papers for 2nd degree harassment for hitting a girl on the school bus after she found out this girl had spit on her car in the school parking lot. She has never been in trouble before. Should I hire an attorney to attend the court appearance with her or should she just plead guilty and hopefully get a slap on the wrist?
