Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York

I have a 25 year old gay son who is dating a 48 year old married man (to a woman) ; and this mans wife did not know he was also gay or whatever you call it and to cover things up ,after my son and him got into a fight at this persons house while his wife was at work ;he told his wife my son was like harassing and stalking him ;so they went to the police station and put out an order of protection against my son; and he told my son it was just to keep his wife in the dark about there affair .and nothing would came of it.and everytime my son says anything he don't like or my son blinds the wrong way , he turns around and he is putting more charges on my son; like almost everyday because the judge told my son to stay out of trouble for 6 months and this guy knows it , so now he found a younger boys(17 years of age) to play with he wants my son out of the way and having him put in jail will do just that , so alot of these charges are not real ; and my son is going to go to jail; just for loving a big cheat with a lot of head issues . and i can't take it any more . and the police keep listening to this man and not my son. what can we do about this?

hire a detective to prove he is having an affair with a 17 year old boy and when you can prove it then hire a lawyer to go to the DA
