Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York

hi im 41 years old. I have a brother that has mental issues and scares me to death. hes threatoned to hurt me but has never followed through. he just scares me. I wory that hes going to physicaly come at me some day.

Can i get an order of protection on him? what are my rights concerning this.. what should i do what can i do?
