Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York
i am 24 yrs old back in October of 2009 i was charged with issueing a bad check that was my first offence i was told to pay restation then in Jan 2011 I was charged with making a false report to the police a girl threaten me on facebook and when someone called the cops thy went to talk to her becuase she earsed it they came back and had me sign a state ment right after i signed the statement they charged me with making a false report so it is an a misdermeanor i have to go to NewFane Court tomorrow at 2pm regarding this in Niagara County I am wanting to know how much jail time i am looking at I am trying to find a job i got 4 kids under the age of 5 and i am currently 7 weeks pregnet with my 5th child i dont have money to pay a lawyer cuz my income is short so i have a public defender

Probably no jail time, but likely probation can be worked out by your public defender.
